Cocoa, Pink and Teal

The combination of brown, blue and pink is one that I really like, which is why the "Loves Me" designer series paper from the Summer Mini Catalogue really appeals to me! To create this page I used "Sweet on You" stamped on Whisper White with Pretty in Pink ink, then made a feature flower using "Big Blooms" in Pink and Taken with Teal. "Label Classics" provided me with a simple journalling box, and I used some stripy DSP and a strip of pink to highlight the bottom of the page. The colours worked nicely with the photo and it was simple to create as everything coordinated together easily.

Happiness Is...

Emily had a fantastic time recently when we were away on holidays. All that attention from everyone in her family! I made this page based on an idea from Creating Keepsakes magazine. Scrapbooking magazines are a great source of inspiration for me! I liked the simple layout and was pleased with how the page turned out.

So, here's what I used: Letterpress Alphabet, Big Blooms and Sweet on You stamps, and the Loves Me designer series paper. Most of those products are from the Summer Mini Catalogue. The colours are based on the papers - Tempting Turquoise, Pretty in Pink and Close to Cocoa. I used Crystal Effects on the title to give it dimension and shine. I also used the Word Window punch to punch out some journalling strips - it's a really easy way of putting some journalling thoughts on a page!
