Wrapped Up!

Wrapping paperSometimes it seems like our social life is almost entirely based around the parties our (almost) 4 year old is invited to. For yesterday's party I had a go at not only making the card, but also some matching wrapping paper. I stamped images from the "Pretty Princess" set in Pixie Pink and Gable Green on white paper. I don't often use the Bold Brights, but the Birthday girl likes bright pink, so I had to give it a go!

Next time you give a hand made card, why not try stamping some matching wrapping paper as well?

The Birthday Fairy...

Fairy birthday with felicityAlthough this stamp set is called Pretty Princess, because Felicity had a fairy party to go to today, today the image became a Fairy, not a Princess!

This was the first time I've played with this set, and it was really easy to use (why did I resist getting it for so long when I have 3 daughters and often need girly birthday cards?). I watercoloured the fairy image, then used the flower stamp for the background. The Happy Birthday stamp is from this set, too. These stamps would also be great for making birthday party invitations and thankyous.

Project Recipe

Stamps: Pretty Princess

Cardstock: Pretty in Pink, Whisper White, Regal Rose, Basic Black

Inks: StazOn, Regal Rose, Pretty in Pink.

Accessories: Soft Subtles markers, Scallop circle punch, 1 1/4 and 1 3/8 circle punches, white gel pen, white grosgrain ribbon.
