I thought that this quote from Thoreau, whose writings I have admired since I saw the film Dead Poets' Society, was perfect to place on a calender. As I'm thinking about the days of the year, I can also think about whether my dreams and plans for the year are coming to fruition. And hopefully be inspired a bit as well.
This is one of the projects that we made at my Summer Mini Open House last week. It uses the "Live Your Dream" stamp set and the coordinating Afternoon Tea designer series papers. The colours of the paper are Chocolate Chip, Soft Sky, Wild Wasabi and Groovy Guava, so I based my stamping on those colours.
Dead Poets' Society was a film that fueled my love of poetry and inspired me to study teaching. So, it was pretty significant in my life. It's one of those crystal clear memories that I have - going to see it at the George St Cinemas in the city. I can remember exactly who I was with, how old I was and the feelings that I had as I watched the movie. Is there a film that's had a big impact on you? Leave a comment and let me know what it is and I'll send you a calender like this one!
