Mulberry Season!

My girls love the Mulberry Season, and last year we had a great crop until the birds also discovered the tree! Still, I thought that the colours of these photos would be great with the new Cottage Wall paper, with its Rich Razzleberry, Old Olive and Orchid colour sceme.

I also used the new bird punch, and the Top Note die in my "Big Shot" as my journalling block. I'm loving the Autumn/ Winter mini catalogue!

my Brown Eyed Girl

Things I learnt about myself while making this Scrapbook page:

• I'm so much better working with paper than with a needle and thread.
• Hand stitching looks great, but takes a long time.
• Colouring in with watercolour crayons is very fun
• The flourish from "Baroque Motifs" is fairly fiddly to cut out.
• I love these ribbon flowers (shame they require some sewing!)
• This photo of Annabelle reminds me so much of my Dad that's it's uncanny
• I love this craft: creating layouts of memories that I can share with my children is wonderful.

Blue Denim

I've been meaning to scrapbook these photos of my girls for ages, but I'm glad I waited because I love how they look with this colour combination. I've used Chocolate Chip, Baja Breezeand Pink Pirouette cardstock, with some Pacific Point for the chipboard title and some of the stamping. I'm loving the new In-Colours!

This was a layout that I did last Saturday when I got to spend the whole day scrapbooking with some friends - thanks girls for a fabulous day... let's hope there's many more of them!

Birthday Girl

 Just this week I received something exciting in the mail (I love getting happy mail!). It was a new stamp set, and although you might think that's too regular an occurrence for me to be excited about it, the extra great thing about this one was that it was free!

I got to choose any stamp set that I wanted from the Stampin' Up! Idea Book and Catalogue because I won the So Shelli Creative Challenge with this scrapbook page. So, because I love scrapbooking so much, I chose an alphabet set, Jumbo Outline Alpha, to use on my pages. It's something different from me because it's an Outline set, so for the Birthday Girl title I stamped it once straight onto my page and then coloured it in with Watercolour Crayons, then I stamped it once on patterned paper and cut out the letters. I love it!

For the rest of the page, I used my Short and Sweet stamp set for the accents, Seeing Spots and Polka Dot to make the background, and some Berry Bliss Designer Paper (retiring soon!)
