Little Friends

"Little Friends" is one of Stampin' Up!'s gorgeous line art image sets, which means that it is perfect for watercolouring.

This card is one that we'll be making at my "Stamp-A-Stack" class next week. For $20, you'll get to make 5 of this card, plus 5 of another card {one that's more blue than pink...}. All materials are included, so please let me know if you'd like to come along. The class uses some retiring products, so it could be your last chance to use them!

Easter Projects

With Easter approaching, I thought that it was time to think about how to package those delicious chocolate treats that we all love to receive!

Next Friday, 16th March is my Easter Projects class. At the class you'll get to complete the 3 projects that are pictured here. I think the little wagon is my favourite, but then I'd also be happy to receive the easter egg flowers!

The class is in my place at Turramurra, at 7:30 pm. Cost is $20 which includes all papercraft supplies - not all the chocolate is included. Please let me know if you'd like to come along, or if you'd like more information!

Cards for kids

At the start of the year I always find that I'm in desperate need of children's cards. All of a sudden birthdays pop up everywhere, as though they've been on hold for the holidays and now they're allowed to be celebrated!

With this in mind, my next class is a stamp-a-stack where you can make 10 cards, 5 each of the 2 designs pictured here. Princesses and Dinosaurs are always favourites with girls and boys, so you'll be able to create a stack of cards to keep you going for a while.

Interactive Cards

I used to love pop-up and lift the flap books when I was a kid. Anything where I got to interact with the book was heaps of fun! So, my next class is just for people like me - it's Interactive cards! At this class you'll learn how to make a basic pop-up card, a waterfall card (see this post if you want to know what that is!) and a spinner card. You'll make 6 different cards in total - 2 of each type.

Class details: Friday, 13th March, 7:30pm.

eScape

For the month of June, Stampin' Up! is encouraging people to eScape. That is, to eScape from the "e" - all the electronic forms of communication that are so constant in modern life, and to communicate by sending a handwritten note or card to someone, instead of an email or text message!

So while it's kind of ironic that you're reading about this via the Internet, you can still participate in eScaping if you like! You can do that in a few different ways:

1. Come along to my eScape event next Friday, 27th June at 7:30pm. At this class we'll be making some "Love Note" sized gift cards, with matching handmade envelopes, and a box to store them in. All the cards will involve watercolouring, so the class will also include tips and techniques to help improve your watercolouring skills. Cost: $20.

2. Purchase the eScape bundle - on sale for the month of June. The bundle includes a set of Love Notes, the Circle of Friendship stamp set, and the 1 1/4 inch hole punch. If you buy these together, then they're 25% off. Click here for more details.

3. Don't buy or come along to anything, but do take the time to send someone you love a handwritten note - I'm sure they'd appreciate it!

My First Post!

So I'm still not sure how the whole Blog thing works yet, but it seems like fun so I'm trying it! This Blog is mainly about Papercrafts, particularly Stampin' Up! as I'm a Stampin' Up! demonstrator. So, for my first post I thought I'd share the cards that we'll be making at my upcoming October Christmas card class. The first class uses the sets "Hung up on the Holidays" and "Peaceful Wishes", and the second uses a variety of different SU! sets, punched out with the 1 1/4" square punch to give a mosaic effect.

The class is on Friday, 19th October, 7:30pm at my place in Turramurra, Sydney. It costs $15 to make 10 cards, 5 of each. Please email me if you're interested in more information!
