Bloomin' Hydrangeas

Bloomin hydrangeasThis is a card that I really enjoyed creating! I find watercolouring very relaxing, so I love it when I get a chance to colour a fairly big image like this pot of flowers, which I think look like hydrangeas. Any horticulturists out there are welcome to correct me, however!

This was a fairly unusual colour combination for me, too, with Ballet Blue, Bashful Blue, Creamy Caramel and Mellow Moss. I was happy with the way it turned out, though, so hopefully you like it, too!

Materials used

Stamps: Bloomin' with Beauty, Weathered background

Cardstock: Bashful Blue, Ballet Blue, Creamy Caramel, Mellow Moss, Watercolour.

Inks: StazOn, Bashful Blue, Ballet Blue, Creamy Caramel, Mellow Moss, Basic Gray

Accessories: Aqua painter, Earth Elements buttons.

Happy Birthday

Blooming Birthday It's my Mum's birthday today, so this card is for her! It uses the new "Bloomin' with Beauty" stamp set from the Spring Mini Catalogue. This set has beautiful images for watercolouring, so I've used it on Watercolour paper with StazOn, then coloured it with Regal Rose, Rose Red, So Saffron and Certainly Celery inkpads and an Aqua Painter.

The background paper is Rose Red prints paper, with some Barely Banana underneath that's stamped with the flourish from Baroque Motifs in So Saffron. I hope my Mum likes it and has a good birthday!
