Cousins

I'm so pleased that I did have time to make this scrapbook layout, also based on the same Paper Pal Arts sketch that I used for the card shown below.

Again, the layout gives you a glimpse of some products that will be featured in the upcoming Autumn/ Winter Mini catalogue, so please let me know if you'd like to see a copy when it's available.

Mouthwatering!

Here's a sneak peek of some products that will be included in the upcoming Stampin' Up! Autumn/ Winter Mini catalogue. The stamp set is called "Mouthwatering", which is so appropriate when I've used some deliciously scented Vanilla embossing powder on the ice creams. So not only do they look good, but they also smell great!

I made this card after I saw the Paper Pal Arts sketch challenge featured on this site. Here was their sketch:

I thought it was a great layout, so I should give it a go. I think it would also lend itself to a good scrapbook sketch, so hopefully I'll get time to try that out, too. Thanks for stopping by!

Thinking Scrapbooking

This is my favourite Scrapbook layout that I've done recently. The photos are of Felicity from a few years ago. Every time she had to think about something she would pull this very sweet face, and I'm so glad that I took some pictures of it because it was a very brief phase!

The layout is simple - 3 portrait photos matted on cardstock, and then some circle embellishments underneath. I generally try to use a matching set of papers when I'm using lots of different patterns, because then I know they'll coordinate. These are the "Everyday Enchantment" papers that you can earn free until the end of March. I love the fresh design and colour palette they use!

After I punched out each circle, I embellished each one using a variety of products. Here's a close up of one of them:

Nothing tricky, but once it was all together I was pleased with how it turned out, and pleased that we can remember this precious story about Felicity.

Easter Projects

With Easter approaching, I thought that it was time to think about how to package those delicious chocolate treats that we all love to receive!

Next Friday, 16th March is my Easter Projects class. At the class you'll get to complete the 3 projects that are pictured here. I think the little wagon is my favourite, but then I'd also be happy to receive the easter egg flowers!

The class is in my place at Turramurra, at 7:30 pm. Cost is $20 which includes all papercraft supplies - not all the chocolate is included. Please let me know if you'd like to come along, or if you'd like more information!

Cowgirl Party

We now officially have a 7-year-old in the family! We decided to have a Cowgirl party to celebrate, so here are some pictures of what went on. Most of the decorating was done using Stampin' Up!'s Beau Chateau and Spice Cake paper and fabric ranges. Spice Cake was perfect with the Suede and Baja paisley images, and I added some Beau Chateau so there'd also be some pink!

I made some bunting using the large Pennant Die to decorate our deck. When I was cutting out the shapes I had lots of small scalloped circles left over from the fabric, so I made some hairclips for each Cowgirl using those.

Instead of lolly bags we decided to give "Cowgirl Cookie" jars {thanks to Bakerella} so I used the fabric to decorate those, too. The paper was great for making decorations for the food table {aka "Watering Hole"} - labels for the food, and cones for the popcorn. The girls loved coming to choose their party food from the Watering Hole! We tried to have lots of Cowgirl themed food - S'mores Pops, Pink & Chocolate Milk, Snakes in the Desert, Cowgirl Hats & Prairie Dawn jelly. 

 

We tried some fun Cowgirl activities, too. There was a dress up station with some costumes & crazy mustaches, apple bobbing, lassoing and bandit catching. The girls also did some fantastic boot scootin'!
