Festivities!

I'm just getting ready for my "Christmas in July" class tonight. Hopefully some homemade decorations and yummy treats for my guests will help everyone feel festive!

Hoppity

I like scrapbooking about the ordinary things in life, not just big events. One day, Felicity spent a long time hopping. Not for any particular reason, but just because she felt like hopping. The photos I took weren't fabulous, but the memory was still worth recording.

I made this layout using the Sunny Day Simply Scrappin' Kit, so the layout came together so quickly. As embellishments, I added glitter to some Sticky Cut shapes, and it was done. I used one of our favourite A. A. Milne poems for the title, so I included that on the page as well. Felicity loved the layout!

Beach Bum

I really love these photos of Emily in her sweet little bikini! To keep the focus on the photos, I wanted this scrapbook layout to be fairly simple. My colour scheme was blue (beachy colour), yellow (Milly's favourite) and pink (for the bikini). Baja Breeze, Tempting Turquoise, Summer Sun and Regal Rose seemed to meet all my criteria!

A couple of embellishments in the form of ribbon & buttons, and it was done. A simple and sweet layout to remember a sweet girl loving a day at the beach.

Supplies Used

Stamps: Big Deal Alpha

Cardstock: Regal Rose, Sweet Slumber, Kaleidoscope, Sweet Always, Summer Days Simply Scrappin' Kit.

Accessories: Big Shot scallop circle die, Saffron buttons, valet ribbon originals, scallop edge punch, 1 1/4" circle punch.

I’ve been doing heaps of scrapbooking lately! I was cleaning out a bag and came across this Christmas Wish List that Felicity wrote last year.

So sweet, and definitely worthy of a layout! So I grabbed out the photos of her showing the list to Santa, and using a sketch from Big Picture Scrapbooking, whipped up the layout. I wanted to have the letter hidden on the page somewhere, so I made a mini envelope with my Big Shot scalloped envelope die to place the list in.

 

 

I also used the Big Shot embossing folder to add the textured dots to my patterned paper. And, I was excited to use up some Wild Wasabi cardstock and a Carousel Note that I had – Wasabi is one of the colours that is returning in September, and I’m looking forward to its come-back!

Supplies Used

Stamps: Spotlight on Christmas, Winter Post, Short Order Alphabet

Cardstock: Pretty in Pink, Whisper White, Baja Breeze, Wild Wasabi (currently retired but coming back in September!), Ski Slope DSP.

Accessories: Large & small star punch, Oval punch, scallop oval punch, rhinestone brads, Real Red Ribbon, Big Shot, Circle Scissor Plus.

As well as scrapbooking, I’ve been designing cards for classes. Coming up on July 30^th is my Christmas in July Stamp-A-Stack, and here are the cards that you can make if you come along!

I think that the combination of Rich Razzelberry, Always Artichoke and Baja Breeze is my current favourite for Christmas cards!

Stamps: Snow Swirled, Heard from the Heart, Autumn Days.

Cardstock: Whisper White, Always Artichoke: Old Olive, Chocolate Chip, Bella Rose DSP.

Accessories: Circle punch, Razzelberry ribbon, Perfect Polka Dot embossing folder; Old Olive ribbon, silver brads, glitter.
