At Stampin' Up! convention recently, one of the presenters Nicki Tidbold talked about some strategies to use for making cards for the boys & men in her life. Often it seems easy to make something pretty and girly, but harder to create something masculine. However, I was inspired to come home and try out a couple of cards, one for a grown-up boy's birthday, and one for a younger boy (hopefully you can work out which is which, otherwise I'm in serious trouble with my designing!)
The "Trendy Trees" stamp set is my new favourite, too. It was one of the sets we received at Convention, and I've been using it heaps!
Stamps: Pun Fun, Trendy Trees, On Your Birthday, Classic Stars wheel
Cardstock: Urban Oasis DSP, Kiwi Kiss, Basic Grey; Tangerine Tango, Bashful Blue, Old Olive, Confetti White
Accessories: Hemp Twine, Paper crimper, Cutter Kit.

I am so impressed with your first male card ... the papers and colours are used really well.
