Just a Card

Finally, after all the boxes, bags, scrapbooking and other stuff I've been doing and posting recently, here's a card. Just a card. A sweet little card made using the "Window Dressing" hostess set, and one of my favourite colour combinations: blue, pink and brown. Hope you're having a lovely Sunday afternoon!

Upsy Daisy

This is one of the projects that we made at my Catalogue Launch last week. I love these Gable Boxes, and I think that I've used them for just about everything recently - Easter Boxes, Birthday Party lolly bags and last Friday night!

I used the stamp set Upsy Daisy for the image - it's stamped in VersaMark onto the Riding Hood Red cardstock, then embossed. The "Best Wishes" stamp is from the Curly Label punch bundle. I love this punch! Lots of the Stampin' Up! greetings fit inside it, too. Some Riding Hood Red Ribbon finishes off the box - all done!

Thanks to everyone who came along last Friday night. I had a great night, and hopefully it was lots of fun for everyone else as well!

Purse template

Here is the link for the template to make the purse that's shown in the post below. Just print it out onto cardstock or patterned paper, then cut and fold at the appropriate spots!

A Purse for a Princess

This little purse is based on a design that's on page 65 of the Stampin' Up! Idea Book and Catalogue. I wanted to make one for a princess, though, so I've used the All in the Family and Family Favourites Too stamp sets for the princess and her crown. It's quite a small purse in real life, but would be big enough for a few party treats, or some notecards, or choccies, or even some jewelery! I'm not sure that I'll have a chance to do anything with it, though, as Felicity (4 yrs old)definitely thinks it's for her!

Happy Easter!

Today my two oldest girls will be enjoying treats from these little Milk Cartons I made them. I followed instructions from Amy Celona to make the rabbit, and the Chick is done using the Good Friend stamp set. I added some cotton wool for his wing so that it's nice and tactile for my 2 year old.

An Egg-Cellent Easter

We'll be spending Easter Sunday with a bunch of friends, so we'll be having the traditional Easter Egg Hunt for the kids! This year they'll be able to collect their eggs in these egg-cellent (ha-ha!) Gable Boxes.

I've used the new stamp set "An Egg-Cellent Easter" for the images and greetings on the boxes. The colours are all from the Soft Subtles range, and I love how they look altogether.

Felicity and Emily helped me yesterday to make some glittery letters so that we'll be able to tell whose box is whose. There's now glitter all over me and my house, but that's what you get when you work with a 2 year old and a 4 year old!

Neighbourly Sunshine

To make this card I teamed up the new Jumbo "Neighbourhood" wheel with some "Good Morning Sunshine" Paper. Before this card, I have to say that I don't think I've ever used the colour Summer Sun on a card, but I'm liking how it worked!

I used a card by Vera on Splitcoast Stampers as the inspiration for my card. I love the wheel, which goes with the "All in the Family" stamp set, and thought that it would make a cute card for someone moving house, hence the "Congratulations" greeting. I also liked how the patterned paper made it look like the sun was shining on the house.

Supplies Used

Cardstock: Whisper White, Pacific Point, Chocolate Chip, Good Morning Sunshine DSP

Accessories: Choc Chip wide grosgrain ribbon, blender pens, markers, Word Window punch, Dimensionals.

Chocolate goes with... everything!

I'm really loving Chocolate Chip this year. I think that last year Close to Cocoa was my fave brown, but it's been surpassed because of how well Chocolate Chip goes with all 6 of the new In Colours.

So, here I've made the same card, but with 6 different colours. Which is your favourite version?

Blue Denim

I've been meaning to scrapbook these photos of my girls for ages, but I'm glad I waited because I love how they look with this colour combination. I've used Chocolate Chip, Baja Breezeand Pink Pirouette cardstock, with some Pacific Point for the chipboard title and some of the stamping. I'm loving the new In-Colours!

This was a layout that I did last Saturday when I got to spend the whole day scrapbooking with some friends - thanks girls for a fabulous day... let's hope there's many more of them!
