Here's the December page from the Calenders I've been making for Christmas gifts. Once again we tried to get the perfect Christmas photo of our girls, but again it was a challenge to get all 3 looking at the camera at once, not to mention smiling!

I've been making lots of boxes and packaging recently, ready for Christmas! These 3 use the range of Designer Series Papers from the Stampin' Up! Summer Mini catalogue. I think that my favourite is the Afternoon Tea paper, but I'm sure that will change...
These are card organiser boxes, and I'll be running a class in January where you can make one for yourself, so please look out for more details about that soon!
Looking for a quick gift idea for the 25 children at your child's pre-school? How about a lollipop?! "Boring", I hear you say, but not if you decorate it nicely...
Felicity loved helping me make these for her pre-school friends. She did lots of punching and sorting out colours and I did the sticking together. Once again I've used the Winter Bright Scrappin' Kit and colours, because I love them!
What was really lovely was that Felicity was so excited to give them to her friends. She's really discovered the joy of giving, not just the fun of receiving!
I promised that I'd have a few more examples using the Winter Bright Simply Scrappin' kit, so here's another one. I'm making some calenders as Christmas gifts, and this is the January page. The die cuts and paper from the Kit were great with this photo, and because there's at least two of everything in the kit it's going to be really quick to make two copies of the same calender (don't tell my Dad and my sister that they're getting the same thing!)
Another great thing about the calender and the kit is that both are 20% off this month. The calender pages don't have dates or months on them - you add those yourself, so they can be used for any year or start at any time. We have calenders in 12 x 12 and 6 x 6 format - this one is 6 x 6 and when the year is over, the pages tear off so they can be placed into a 6x6 album - voila, instant scrapbook!
Who doesn't like receiving a gift that's nicely presented? I made these mini purses to hold Gift Vouchers, or Gift cards. There's a couple of people to whom I'll be giving gift cards this Christmas, so I wanted to come up with some more funky packaging for them.
These ones are made from the Winter Bright Simply Scrappin' kit. I love the colour combination used in this kit - it's Real Red, Bashful Blue, Pretty in Pink and Wild Wasabi. A bit of traditional Christmas green and red with a coupleof other colours thrown in there to mix it up a bit.

The stamp set "Happy Christmas, Mate" always makes me have a bit of a chuckle! I made this card for some American friends who have spent some time living in Australia, so hopefully they'll know by now just how often we see kangaroos, espcially kangaroos with their pouches full of Christmas presents!
I watercoloured this image on Confetti White cardstock. It's heavier than Whisper White so takes a bit more water, which I find gives a better effect for the colouring.

People often ask me whether the Simply Scrappin' kits are worth their cost, and my answer is absolutely, "Yes!", espeically when the kit is 20% off!
So, what's in the kits? Here is a photo of the Winter Bright Scrappin' Kit, showing all its contents (cat not included...) There's 8 sheets of textured 12 x 12 cardstock, 6 sheets of double sided patterned paper, and 6 sheets of gorgeous die cuts. Scrapping kits make it so easy to quickly finish coordinating projects, such as a set of cards, or an album or gift. I'll show you a couple of things I've made with this kit as soon as I've had a chance to take some photos!
A friend of mine spotted this 6 x 6 scrapbook page in the Stampin' Up! Idea Book and Catalogue. She really liked it so wanted to try it out, but as a card! So we did...
Obviously it needs a photo added to it still, but it's a great way of sending a handmade card that also doubles as a scrapbook page. You could even put it into a 6 x 6 album after Christmas.
We also have envelopes in the Summer Mini Catalogue which come with the Carousel Notes, that fit this size card/ page. So, why not try it for yourself? Any of your favourite 6 x 6 layouts can easily be adapted to make a fabulous Christmas card, complete with photo.
This card was so quick to make. My star punches will certainly be getting a work out this Christmas! Here I've punched some stars from Rose Red prints paper, and for the centre I've used the "Snow Flurries" stamp set (which is 20% off this month - only $16.76) I know we don't get snow here in Australia at Christmas time, but I still love snowflake images.
The background was also quick, as I just wheeled the So Swirly wheel across the Pomegranate cardstock. The colour combination is my favourite for Christmas this year - Purely Pomegranate, Soft Sky and Wild Wasabi. Too easy!
I was sure that I wrote a post about this a couple of days ago, but it seems to have disappeared into the ether... I'm sure it's out there on the Web somehow, but I don't know how to look for it!
On December 12th at 7:30pm I'm running a Christmas projects class. At the class we'll be making a mini pizza box and a Christmas Cracker, decorating a tin and stamping on a candle.
