It's great how easy it is to create kids' birthday cards using Stampin' Up! stamps. These two cards are similar to designs I've used before, which saves time when I'm making them, but are altered slightly for the occasion by adding the chipboard numbers.
I coloured both chipboard numbers by sponging ink onto them, then added glitter to the 4 (we're going to a Princess party, so there needed to be glitter!) using Heat 'n Stick powder.
How to use Heat 'n Stick powder:
Heat 'n Stick powder is like embossing powder. Ink the shape with Versamark, then sprinkle on the powder and heat it until the powder becomes sticky. Then sprinkle on the glitter, and reheat the image briefly to set the glitter. This is a great way to use glitter on solid shapes or images as it helps the glitter to stick evenly over the image, and also means the glitter stays on the project!
