My brief for this project was to create a card that could display some Pandora beads we were giving a friend for her birthday. I wanted the card to have some bling, so I decided to use a Stampin' Up! chipboard flower as the centrepiece.
I sponged Teal ink onto the flower (it's great that you can colour the chipboard to match whatever you're doing!), then applied Versamark ink, which is clear, and some Heat and Stick powder, which gets briefly heated and becomes sticky so that you can then add glitter to it. This is a really effective way of getting glitter to stick to a large or solid image. A few punched circles from some of the Loves Me designer series paper made up the centre of the flower, topped with a clear button.
The background flowers are from Bodacious Bouquet and Big Blooms. I used the Oval punch to create a window through which the beads could be displayed. They're threaded onto a piece of ribbon, which is mounted onto the inside of the card using another chipboard piece. The other colours I used are Regal Rose, Tempting Turquoise and Close to Cocoa - a combination I seem to be using a lot at the moment. Maybe I'd better get out my colour wheel and try to find some new colour ideas!
