People sometimes comment that handmade cards are great for women, but not so good for men. I, for one, disagree! For those of you who'd like some inspiration, here are a couple of birthday cards I've made for men recently.
In the Loads of Love card I've used the colours Really Rust, Night of Navy and Not Quite Navy. I've watercoloured the truck using inks, markers and an aqua painter. One thing I like about this set is that you can "accessorise" it as you want - this card was from my 2 daughters, so I put two girls in the car and the load of hearts on the back.
The "Celebrate U" card uses the stamp sets "All About You" and "Artfully Asian". I've also used the Linen background stamp on the navy card to give it that textured look, although that's a bit difficult to see in this picture! I used the paper piercer and template to punch the holes in the bottom corner, and added a photo turn from my Hodgepodge Hardware collection - appropriate for a boy's card to have some hardware!
